Deborah Stafford has been a staple of the Colorado Blues scene for many years with her band, Deborah Stafford & The State of Affairs. But in order to fulfill her dream of winning The International Blues Challenge in Memphis, in 2021 Deborah put together the dream team. She had always wanted a horn section and to add keyboards to the band, thus was born The Night Stalkers.  Deborah Stafford & The Night Stalkers play a variety of original Funky Blues, Soul, & Roots Rock, and their horn-driven grooves will get you shakin' it!  Think the Blues Brothers meet Etta James. This band is HOT!  Their award-winning horn section, hot guitar licks by Jeff Bowen, soulful keyboards by Tone Show, and the smoldering vocals of Deborah Stafford take this band to the next level. In May 2022 they made it to the semi-finals in Memphis and they opened The Trinidaddio Blues Festival in August 2022 to rave reviews! They have now won the CBS Blues Challenge for the second year in a row and have just returned from Memphis and the 2023 IBC. This year they killed it at Blues on the Mesa, were a part of Red, White and Blues and Rock on the Rails among their other shows. Deborah continues to make her mark as a singer and songwriter in the Blues with her memorable lyrics and songs you walk out humming.
